For Authors

What kinds of projects does Meadow Elk Publishing work with?
We work with authors, pastors, and ministry leaders who carry a God-given message and are committed to bringing it forward with integrity and excellence. This includes books, devotionals, teaching resources, discipleship materials, and ministry tools. We evaluate each project individually based on its alignment with biblical truth, its clarity of purpose, and its readiness for the publishing process.
How do I know if my message is a fit for Meadow Elk?
If your work is grounded in Scripture, serves the body of Christ, and you are approaching the publishing process with a long-term perspective rather than a quick turnaround, you are likely a good fit. The best first step is to submit a Publishing Inquiry so we can learn more about your message and goals.
What happens after I submit a publishing inquiry?
We review every inquiry we receive. If your project is a potential fit, we will follow up to schedule a conversation and learn more. If it is not the right season or the right fit, we will let you know respectfully. Either way, you will hear from us.
How long does the publishing process take?
This varies depending on the scope of your project and where your manuscript is when we begin. Most projects move through editorial, design, and production over several months. We work at the pace the project requires to do it well, not the pace that is simply fastest.
Do I retain the rights to my work?
Rights terms are discussed and agreed upon before any contract is signed. We are committed to transparency in this area. You will always know what you are agreeing to before we move forward.
What is the difference between working with MEP and self-publishing?
Self-publishing platforms give you tools. Meadow Elk gives you partnership. We bring editorial care, design excellence, and long-term support to your project, not just a file upload and a storefront. We treat your message as something to be stewarded, not simply produced.

Bulk and Wholesale

What qualifies as a bulk order?
Bulk orders are typically for churches, ministries, conferences, Christian schools, or organizations ordering multiple copies of a title for congregational, event, or program use. If you are ordering for a group rather than an individual, the bulk order process is the right path.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes. Minimum quantities apply and vary by title and format. Visit our Bulk Orders page or contact us directly for current minimums and availability.
Do you offer pricing discounts for churches and ministries?
Yes. Bulk pricing is available for qualifying orders. Discounts are applied based on quantity and title. Reach out through the Bulk Orders page and we will provide specific pricing for your needs.
Can we order custom or branded materials?
In some cases, yes. Branded or custom ministry materials are evaluated on a project-by-project basis. Contact us to discuss what you have in mind and we will let you know what is possible.
How far in advance should we order for an event?
We recommend placing bulk orders at least four to six weeks before your event date to allow for production, fulfillment, and shipping. For larger orders or custom materials, more lead time is better. Reach out early and we will help you plan accordingly.
