What we believe

Statement of Faith.

The convictions that guide every manuscript we publish and every partnership we form.

Meadow Elk Publishing is founded on the authority of Holy Scripture and the conviction that the Word of God is true, living, active, and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. This statement reflects the core biblical convictions that guide our work, our partnerships, and the messages we steward.

Core Beliefs

The Authority of Scripture

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the final standard for truth, doctrine, correction, and instruction for life. It reveals the will of God, the condition of mankind, the way of salvation, and the pattern for faithful obedience.

Scriptural support: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

The Nature of God

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is sovereign, holy, righteous, just, merciful, faithful, and unchanging in all His ways. He is the Creator of heaven and earth, worthy of all worship, honor, and obedience.

Scriptural support: Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 6:3; Malachi 3:6; Revelation 4:11.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and willingly offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin. He died, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory. Through His death and resurrection, He has made the only way for sinners to be reconciled to God.

Scriptural support: John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:10; John 14:6.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort, religious works, or personal merit, but is the gift of God. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are forgiven, justified, made new, and restored to relationship with God.

Scriptural support: Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God and the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; brings new birth to those who believe in Jesus Christ; and dwells within every true follower of Christ. He teaches, guides, comforts, sanctifies, and empowers believers to walk in obedience to God’s Word, bear spiritual fruit, and glorify Jesus Christ.

Scriptural support: John 14:16-17; John 14:26; John 16:7-14; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25; Titus 3:5.
